Children are considered as a form of God. Their
innocence and good heart is all that is needed to light the mood up. In the Philippines, the
Children’s Month Celebration is always celebrated during November every year.
The Children’s Month Celebration’s objective is to give Filipino children
access to a good education, healthcare, and healthy environment. The
Philippines’ national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal once said “Ang Kabataan ang pag-asa
ng bayan” which means in English “Youth is the future of the nation” and
investing in children is key for the betterment of the next generation.
The main focus of the Children’s Month Celebration is to offer help to those children who suffered from abuse, poverty, natural calamities, and violence. children are supposed to be loved. We do not hurt them. It is important to teach everyone about non violent behavior . like teachers should do to their students. It is very much needed because of the contemporary exposure of children to violence is immense. In fact, in 2013 alone, there was a disturbingly high rate of children who suffered from sexual abuse and exploitation. By 2015, late Philippine President Benigno Aquino III made November the official Children’s Month Celebration in the Philippines under the Republic Act No. 10661.
